sfpd_crimescene.jpgA woman was shot in the back in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District Thursday night, a fire dispatcher said.

Responders arrived at 225 Leavenworth Street, between Turk and Eddy streets, at around 11:45 p.m., according to the dispatcher.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

Information regarding the extent of the woman’s injuries and the suspect’s description was not immediately known.
