Cherry Blossom Festival
Over the next two weekends, April 9-10 and April 16-17, the Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The following closures will be required 4 a.m., Saturday to 11 p.m., Sunday both weekends:

· Post Street from Laguna Street to Fillmore Street
· Webster Street from Sutter Street to Geary Boulevard

The following Muni routes may be affected:

· 2 Clement
· 3 Jackson
· 22 Fillmore

The Cherry Blossom Parade will be held on Sunday, April 17.

Cesar Chavez Parade and Festival
On Saturday the annual Cesar Chavez Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Participants will gather at 19th Street between Dolores and Guerrero streets at 10 a.m. The festival will be held after the parade on 24th Street between Harrison and Bryant streets from noon to 6 p.m.

The parade will proceed from Dolores and 19th streets, east on 19th Street, south on Mission Street, east on 24th Street to the festival area between Treat and Bryant streets.

Streets will re-open as the parade passes. The following closures will be required from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

· 24th Street between Harrison and Bryant streets
· Harrison Street between 23rd and 25th streets
· Alabama Street between 23rd and 25th streets
· Florida Street between 23rd and 25th streets

Local residential access will be allowed on Harrison, Florida and Alabama via 25th and 23rd streets.

Muni service on the following lines will be directly affected:

· 12 Folsom
· 14 Mission
· 14L Mission Ltd.
· 27 Bryant
· 48 Quintara
· 49 Mission-Van Ness
· 67 Bernal Heights

US Half Marathon-Spring
On Sunday the U.S. Half Marathon will commence from Aquatic Park in the northern waterfront area and will proceed along its 13.1-mile course to the Presidio and across the Golden Gate Bridge beginning at 7 a.m. and will require the following street closures:

6:30 – 8 a.m.
Van Ness Avenue southbound from North Point to Bay streets
Bay Street from Van Ness Avenue to Laguna Street

6:30 – 10:30 a.m.
One westbound lane on Marina Boulevard from Buchanan Street to Marina Gate
Laguna Street between Bay and Beach streets

The following Muni routes will be affected:

28 19th Avenue
30 Stockton
47 Van Ness
49 Van Ness-Mission

Sunday Streets
The second of nine Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday in Golden Gate Park and along Great Highway. This event covers a route between JFK Drive at Transverse Drive and Great Highway at Sloat Boulevard. The route (see a map here) will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.

The headquarters for the event will be located at Lincoln Way and Great Highway, where participants can get details about activities along the event route as well as free bike rentals.

The following street closures will be required from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Lincoln Way (westbound only) between MLK Drive and Upper Great Highway
Lincoln Way (eastbound only) between Upper Great Highway and Lower Great Highway
Great Highway between Lincoln Way and the south exit/Ocean Beach parking lot
Great Highway between Fulton and the south exit Ocean Beach parking lot
Upper Great Highway (both directions)
No through traffic at Fulton and 36th and 30th avenues and Transverse
Golf course access only at Fulton and 47th Avenue

The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

· N Judah
· L Taraval
· 5 Fulton
· 18 46th Avenue
· 21 Hayes
· 23 Monterey
· 28 19th Avenue
· 29 Sunset
· 33 Stanyan
· 44 O’Shaughnessy
· 71 Haight-Noriega

While traffic in the area may cause delays, the following Muni routes and lines will provide convenient access to Sunday Streets fun:

· N Judah
· L Taraval
· 18 46th Avenue
· 23 Monterey
· 71 Haight-Noriega

Peace and Justice Rally and March
On Sunday the Peace and Justice rally will begin at Dolores Park at noon, followed by a march at 1:30 p.m. The march will proceed east on 18th Street, then south on Mission Street, west on 22nd Street, north on Valencia Street, west on 18th Street and back to Dolores Park.

Traffic delays can be expected in the area during the march.

Hellenic Cultural Parade
The annual Hellenic Cultural Parade will start at 3 p.m. on Sunday from Market and 7th streets. Formation will be on 7th Street between Market and Folsom. Intersections will remain open. The parade is expected between 3 and 4 p.m.

Muni customers wishing to participate or who otherwise want to go downtown are advised to take Muni Metro.

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.
