Earth Day Celebration
On Saturday the Earth Day Celebration will take place at Civic Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m.

· Grove Street from Polk to Larkin Streets.

No Muni routes or lines will be affected. (That is, unless they go on strike, as could now happen. — EB)

Heavy pedestrian traffic is expected, and attendees should expect high passenger volume on public transit. (For more SF Earth Day activities, see April’s Earth Day roundup.)

Union Street Celebration
On Sunday, the Union Street Spring Celebration will take place on Union Street between Steiner and Gough Streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At 2 p.m. the parade will begin on Union Street at Gough Street, proceed west on Union Street, north on Fillmore Street and east onto Greenwich Street, where it will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 12:01 a.m. to midnight.

· Union Street from Gough Street to Fillmore Street
· Buchanan Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Octavia Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Laguna Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Webster Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Intersections: Octavia and Union, Laguna and Union, Webster and Union and Buchanan and Union

The following Muni routes will be affected:

· 22 Fillmore
· 30 Stockton
· 45 Union-Stockton

Easter Sunrise on Mount Davidson
On Sunday, the Annual Easter Sunrise Service will be held on the top of Mount Davidson at approximately 6:30 a.m. The SFMTA will provide Muni service on the 36 Teresita beginning at 5 a.m. until the start of the service from Forest Hill Station to Myra Way and Dalewood Way.
