sffd_fire.jpg11:19 AM: A house fire Thursday night in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood caused about $75,000 in damage, a fire spokeswoman said today.

Responders arrived at 526 Silver Ave. at 9:52 p.m. and discovered smoke coming from the two-story house, paramedic Capt. Beth Goudreau said.

The one-alarm fire was under control by 10:15 p.m., and no one was injured in the blaze, Goudreau said.

The damage was contained to one room, and the residents were able to stay in their home, she said.

Fire spokeswoman Lt. Mindy Talmadge said the cause of the fire was still under investigation today.

It caused $75,000 in damage, she said.
