Two men were stabbed in two separate attacks that occurred within an hour of each other in San Francisco early this morning, police said.
The first was reported shortly after 3 a.m. in the 1700 block of Yosemite Avenue in the city’s Bayview neighborhood.
A woman approached the victim, a 58-year-old man, and demanded money from him. When he refused, she stabbed him three times with a knife, police said.
The woman took some of the man’s money, but he was able to get it back before she fled, according to police.
The victim refused to be taken to a hospital for his injuries.
Less than an hour later, at about 3:55 a.m., another stabbing was reported at Polk and Willow streets in the Tenderloin.
The 44-year-old victim was approached from behind by another man, who demanded his money. The suspect then stabbed the victim at least four times but fled before taking any of his property, police said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.
The suspect, described only as a Hispanic man in his 30s, had not been arrested as of this morning, police said.
