Ching04.26.11.jpgPolice have found an 87-year-old man who went missing Tuesday morning, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Yan Kee Ching went missing at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, police said.

Ching is known to frequent San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Richmond and Sunset districts, according to police.

At about 11:45 p.m., officers patrolling the University of California, San Francisco’s Mission Bay campus located Ching walking along Third Street, near the university, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak.

Andraychak said that Ching appeared to be in good condition, but would be assessed by emergency medical personnel as a precaution.
