The robbery was reported at about 1:50 a.m. in the 1500 block of Folsom Street, according to police.

The two victims, ages 24 and 29, were in their vehicle when they were approached by three suspects who ordered them out of the car at gunpoint, police said.

One of the victims was pistol-whipped, and both had their cell phones taken by the suspects, who then ran from the area, according to police.

At least one of the victims was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.

No arrests have been made and no detailed descriptions were immediately available of the suspects, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
