handcuffs.jpgA man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing a three-car crash in San Francisco’s Crocker Amazon neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to police.

A car, truck and small SUV were involved in a collision near the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Prague Street at about 1:10 p.m., police Officer Albie Esparza said.

Esparza had limited details about the crash, but said arriving officers found the SUV on a sidewalk, and that one of the vehicles may have rolled over. All vehicles involved had airbags deployed.

Four people were severely injured and taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment, firefighter Al Posey said.

The victims are continuing to recover today, and all are expected to survive, Esparza said.

The man believed responsible for the collision was arrested and remains in jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he said.
