Technology is becoming our modern-day communicative glue, and the new multimedia and live performance work “All I Wanted to Say” investigates how we communicate with other people within the current landscape of the written, Skype-able, and electronic word.

Collborating artists include poet Allison DeLauer, choreographer Folawole, video artist Seng Chen, digital artist Tim Roseborough, musician Matt Venuti, and performers Silvia Girardi on stage and Giuliano Pirotello on screen. Film production house Cinematique – Milan, lighting designer Brendan Aanesalso, and Feldenkreis coach and stage manager Donna Bervinchak also contributed.

This is AIWS’ final weekend at The Garage. It will return in June for two nights at the Fury Factory Festival at Noh Space in the Mission before heading to Italy, Germany, and Los Angeles.

Becca Klarin writes about dance. Her first stage role was at the age of four, where she dressed in a brightly colored bumble bee tutu and black patent leather taps shoes. She remembers bright lights and spinning in circles with her eleven other bees, but nothing more. Becca also has an affinity for things beginning with the letter "P", including Pizzetta 211, Fort Point, pilates, parsvakonasana, and plies.
