sfo03.jpgSan Francisco firefighters and medical personnel were dispatched to San Francisco International airport after a plane landing there experienced mechanical problems, a fire dispatcher said.

Several units were dispatched to the airport because an Air Canada plane landed with its flaps stuck in a down position, the dispatcher said.

A duty manager at the airport confirmed that an Air Canada flight “came in with flap problems and landed safely.”

Three engines, two rescue captains, a truck and two medics were among the fire resources dispatched to the airport, another fire dispatcher said.
