A body was discovered at Fort Mason in San Francisco Tuesday afternoon, a National Park Service official said.
The body was reported by a visitor to the area, who contacted officials at around 4:45 p.m., spokesman Howard Levitt said.
The body was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, Levitt said.
