The stormy weather has knocked out power to thousands of Bay Area residents today.
As of 12:45 p.m., the hardest-hit area was the North Bay, where 2,400 PG&E customers were without electricity, many in the Inverness Park area, PG&E spokeswoman Fiona Chan said.
About 1,700 customers in Los Altos, Sunnyvale and other parts of the South Bay were also affected, as were 1,300 customers in the East Bay, mostly in the Oakland Hills, Concord and Pacheco.
On the Peninsula, about 1,200 customers were without power in areas including Pacifica, Pescadero, Loma Mar and La Honda, Chan said.
Five hundred customers were affected by outages in San Francisco.
