sfpd_crimescene.jpgA man found dead in an apartment in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill neighborhood on Friday has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as Jack Baker.

Baker, 67, was found when officers responded to a request for a well-being check in the 1000 block of Bush Street at about 6:15 p.m. Friday, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

“Obvious signs of trauma” on the body led police to treat the death as a homicide, Andraychak said.

Police have not released additional information about the case, and the official cause of death will not be determined for several weeks, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No arrests have been made in the case and no suspect information was available as of today, police said.
