sfpd_crimescene.jpgPolice responding to a request for a well-being check found the body of an elderly man in a San Francisco apartment Friday evening, a police sergeant said.

Officers were dispatched at 6:14 p.m. to the 1000 block of Bush Street, where they found the body of a white man police estimate was 65 years old, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

“Obvious signs of trauma” on the body have led police to treat the investigation, which is ongoing, as a homicide, Andraychak said.
