Marketbikelane.jpgI suspect that you’ll only find the die-hardest cycling enthusiasts out in the rain and cold for Critical Mass tonight, which begins, as the event usually does, at 6 PM at Justin Herman Plaza.

Mass riders or the Mass-curious can keep up with the event the event’s highly unofficial, say the moderators, Facebook page.

Those of you who prefer to avoid the cycling event are urged not to drive in the area, to take underground transit like Muni Metro instead of surface buses, or to just get the hell outta downtown before 6, as both the SFMTA and SFPD warn us that the event will result in “heavy traffic.”

I suspect that tonight’s traffic might not be as heavy as some months’ — it’s really going to be nasty tonight. Whether you’re riding (bike or Muni), driving, or walking, be careful out there, you guys!
