Barney’s VersionEmbarcadero, Kabuki
Paul Giamatti, one of my faves, with Dustin Hoffman, another of my faves! There’s more good cast, like Bruce Greenwood, starring in an adaptation of Mordecai Richler‘s novel of the same name about Barney and his many women and his romantic notions.

Difficult women, gumshoes, period clothes, and grit accompany this film fest.

A bunch of Jean-Pierre LĂ©aud films – Roxie
The hunky french star with the pouty lips and bad boy attitude, Jean-Pierre Leaud, is given a weekend at the Roxie with The 400 Blows, a documentary about French New Wave, and a series of films starring JP and tag-team directed by Truffaut & Goddard.

Kevin Spacey and Barry Pepper! Someone pointed out that Barry Pepper was in True Grit, and, almost having fallen asleep during True Grit, I then remembered how great Barry Pepper was in Tommy Lee Jones’ film, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and it made me realize that people who don’t normally like Westerns will like True Grit, but people who really do like westerns and whose favorite book of all time is Lonesome Dove, like myself, will fall asleep and find it vaguely boring. Anyway, if you like Barry Pepper, you should rent that movie I’ve mentioned above, it’s a western, and he’s really great even though he ruined his career after being in (word redacted so Eve won’t get sued) Travolta’s Scientology movie. Or see this new film cause we all like Kevin Spacey, I mean “I rule!” and I totally do, and I normally fist pump Kevin Spacey style every morning. Anyway, this one has to do with gambling and Jon Lovitz and Barry Pepper plays Spacey’s business partner, which is probably a way better combo than Peter Facinelli.

Let Me In – Red Vic
The young teenage vampire neighbor movie.
