shooting_nighttime.jpgSeparate nighttime shootings in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood left two men injured on Monday, police said today.

The first shooting was reported at 8:27 p.m. in the 100 block of Turk Street (according the the Examiner, it was actually the 1100 block — EB).

The victim, a 32-year-old man, heard gunshots and ran into an apartment. Only then did he realize he had been shot in the face, police said.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

At 10:13 p.m., another shooting was reported about three blocks away, at Jones and McAllister streets.

A 38-year-old man had been sitting outside when he was approached by a 30-year-old man, according to police.

The men began arguing and the 30-year-old man shot the victim twice and fled, police said.

That victim is also expected to survive.

No arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.
