Photographer: Jon Rendell
Photo taken when: Sometime last week
Where: Central Basin, SF

For those of you left scratching your heads at this photo’s setting, according to SF Genealogy, “The Central Basin occupies an area of 34 5-100 acres. It is bounded on the east by the water front line, on the north by El Dorado street, and on the south by Solano street.” The western boundary is marked, they say, by railroad lands.

A floating dry dock from Pier 70, Rendell says, is what you see on the right.
