1/2 11:30 PM: A man confessed to stabbing his roommate this afternoon–according to San Francisco police–and the roommate has since passed away.
At 2:46 p.m., the suspect called police saying he had just stabbed his roommate in the 1100 block of Market Street, Officer Albie Esparza said.
Police responded and took the suspect, a man in his 40s, into custody.
The victim, a 54-year-old man, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just after 10 p.m.
The medical examiner’s office has not released the identity of the victim because they are still trying to contact his family.
