fakeblood.jpgCommunity members who donate blood in northern California during the month of February could be eligible for to win free movie tickets for one year, according to the American Red Cross.

The Red Cross will hold four weekly drawings and each winner will receive 12 pairs of movie passes.

Donors can enter the drawing at any blood donor center and participating blood drives.

Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds based on height and be in generally good health. Donors that are 16-years-old may participate if granted parental permission.

High school and college blood drives are not participating in this promotion.

If I recall correctly, the Stanford Blood Center gives a pair of movie tickets each time you donate, without a lottery or drawing. They also give out Sports Basement discount coupons and t-shirts (I always turn down the latter).
