San Francisco’s Glide Foundation will hand out 5,000 bags of groceries this morning to those in need this holiday season.
The Tenderloin church, located at 330 Ellis St., will be giving out bags laden with fresh poultry, potatoes, bread, pasta, rice, beans and vegetables from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“We invite everyone to join us in the spirit of healing, giving hope and celebration,” said Glide founder the Rev. Cecil Williams in a statement announcing the event.
