Mayoral candidate and outgoing District 8 Supervisor Bevan Dufty had a fundraiser at Castro area restaurant/bar Lime Thursday night, and Appeal pal and frequent correspondent Matt Baume sent in the above video from the event, in which Dufty considers a somewhat surprising career change if his bid for Room 200 fails.

In the video, Baume notes, Dufty appears to threaten to embark on an “adult film” (aka porn) career if he doesn’t win the 2011 SF Mayor’s race! Thanking his supporters, Dufty says, ominously, “and if I don’t win, it could be, you know, an adult film career I could have. It could be something like that.”

Given that Dufty’s managed to go from one of the most flush of SF’s political candidates, with $101,678 in the bank, to just $321 as of this month, perhaps we can realistically look forward to Dufty in “Shooters 3” or “Routine Check Ups #5”?

I rang up Dufty’s campaign office to get more details on his porny plans. Seriously, I did! But no one was there, hardly surprising given it’s 2:50 on New Year’s Eve. When they get back to us, I’ll be sure to update y’all!
