Mission Holiday Block Party
Anyone who has spent time in SF knows that the Mission loves to throw a good block party for any obscure or sometimes non existent reason. So it should come as no big surprise that this year’s Holiday Party will be overflowing with special events, open galleries, parties, free food & drink, and gift sales all over the neighborhood. Check out participants and events on their site, from 5-10 PM.

PRINT Gallery Show
1:AM Gallery (1000 Howard Street) presents a show with bold, affordable quality prints from some of the best underground artists in the biz. The killer line-up includes work from such artists as Mark Bode, Will Manville, and Julie West. The opening reception is Friday, with beats from DJ Don Kainoa and red AND white wine, from 7-9:30 PM.

Bazaar Bizarre
Odds are you will find the perfect unique gift for someone impossible to shop for at The Bazaar Bizarre this weekend at Ft. Mason. With over 100 small independent vendors, peruse the crème de la crème of indie goods: handbags, pottery, letterpress stationary, silk-screened t-shirts, zines, posters, body products and more. Admission is free, the event runs from 12-5 on Saturday, 12-6 on Sunday.

Cesar Millan Guest Appearance!
The Dog Whisperer is coming to town on Saturday, and I will be first in line with my puppy asking him what I should do about his embarrassing pigeon-attack issues. Truthfully, I’m not exactly sure if you can bring your dog (imagine the long line of badly behaved canines in a department store…bad idea) BUT you can get this famous dog behaviorist’s autograph and have an opportunity to adopt a lovable pet. At Macy’s Union Square, starting at 1:00 pm.

Undercover “Capture The Flag” Game
This event might be the only way I would step foot in a crowded mall during the holiday season. Basically, to dodge shoppers and tag friends for Capture the Flag glory. It’s free, in a secret location (sign-up 24 hours in advance to find out where), and you get free drinks afterwards.
