noelnoir.jpgTired of attending schmoozy office holiday parties this season? Check out the irreverently unique Noel Noir Un-Holiday Party, hosted by the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

“An affordable, tongue-in-cheek fundraiser,” the event features six musical acts (including HOTTUB), a silent auction, “Nunway Noir” drag fashion show, occult film screenings, an interactive group photo station, wine tasting, free booze tastings, and free sweet treats from TCHO Chocolates, Dynamo Donuts, and Taste of Happiness.

As if there wasn’t enough to see, YBCA’s visual arts exhibitions will also be open to guests until 2 am. Best of all, the affordable ticket price benefits YBCA’s free and low-cost programs and the charities supported by Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Guests are encouraged to interpret the Noël Noir title through creative attire. “Think Tim Burton’s Winter Prom or Edward Gorey’s Feast of Lights,” said Joël Tan, Director of Community Engagement.

Guests are also encouraged to bring cans of food for the San Francisco Food Bank.
