sfpd_crimescene.jpgSan Francisco police are holding a news conference today to discuss the homicide of a woman who was found dead at her Russian Hill apartment last weekend.

Kathleen Horan was found dead at about 4:25 a.m. Saturday when police responded to a request for a well-being check on a resident at a home in the 900 block of Chestnut Street, police Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

Officers eventually entered the home and found Horan’s body.

Assistant Police Chief Jeffrey Godown will join members of the investigations unit at Friday’s news conference.

It is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at 850 Bryant St. Room 551.
