dogs.hotel.jpgWhere is a good place to board my dog overnight?

Here are Rocket Dog Rescue VP/Appeal pal Laura Beck‘s picks:

Wag Hotel (Yelp It) (“it’s right behind Rainbow Grocery, they have a pool!”)
Muttley Crew (Yelp It)
Pooches Playtime (Yelp It)

Book now if you want to board your pet over the holidays, Laura advises. “I bet lots of places are already filled up. Gotta act fast for the prime spots!”

Think of “Ask the Appeal” as your own personal genie: no Bay-related question is too big or too small. Whether you’re concerned with a municipal question, a consumer advocacy issue or simply with consuming alcohol, email us your questions at ask@sfappeal.com (or, find answers to past questions here). We’ll either do the dirty work and talk to the folks in charge, contact an expert in the field, or – if your question is particularly intriguing or juicy – develop it into a full-blown investigative article.

I live near Wag Hotel and when I got a rescue dog I thought that would be the place to go….but after stopping there a couple of times to look it over….a tour was never “convenient” and the staff did not seem like to appreciate someone who wanted to check the place out….then after reading the tons of negative responses on Yelp I decided to find another place to board our dog. ( I have since been told that it was dot.com businessmen who opened Wag but really as businessmen rather than “pet people” and it’s run that way.

Lucky to have found the Pooch Hotel…..it’s in Sunnyvale and it is a drive but soooo worth it. Large place….immaculate…you can tell they love the dogs and my girl is happy to go and stay.
