This Friday and Saturday, Mission district “live music supper club” Coda will host a two day benefit concert for Doctors Without Borders featuring pancakes – as in the delicious breakfast treat, not the name of a band.
Musical guests include Sila, a 2010 NAACP Image Award-winning artist, with guest appearances from Native Elements, Locura (trio), Marcus Cohen Presents the Congress, The Dunes, Classical Revolution, Miriam Speyer, Joan Cerqueiro, Rasa Vitalia, DJ Santero, DJ Zeph, DJ Amar and other Bay Area artists, DJs and Dancers.
Chef Roger Freely will serve up organic pancakes and “other libations” at what organizers call the First Ever “San Francisco Pancake Festival”. The first event, happening Friday night, will feature a special menu of pancakes of crepes while the Saturday afternoon event will include buffet-style pancakes in the cost of the ticket.
All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, Pakistan, which has been providing medical care for the nationals and refugees of Pakistan since 1998. The event is produced and sponsors by Club Dine In!
