Sunday Streets Civic Center
The final Sunday Streets event for this year will be held Sunday in the Civic Center and Tenderloin neighborhoods.
This event covers a 2.5-mile route that encompasses City Hall, Civic Center Plaza and will travel along Grove, Polk, Ellis, O’Farrell, Leavenworth and Jones streets.
The route will be available for recreational activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free to all participants.
The headquarters for the event will be located in Civic Center Plaza, where participants can get details about activities along the event route as well as free bike rentals.
The following street closures will be required from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
· Grove Street between Polk and Hayes streets
· Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place between Grove and McAllister streets
· Polk Street between McAllister and O’Farrell streets
· O’Farrell Street between Polk and Jones streets
· Jones Street between O’Farrell and Eddy streets
· Ellis Street between Polk and Leavenworth streets
· Leavenworth Street between Ellis and Eddy streets
· Larkin Street between Hayes and McAllister streets
· Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets
· Intersections: Polk Street at O’Farrell, Ellis and Grove streets; Larkin Street at O’Farrell, Ellis, Fulton and Grove streets; Jones Street at O’Farrell and Ellis streets
Traffic will be controlled by Parking Control Officers and San Francisco police officers.
The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:
* 5 Fulton
* 19 Polk
* 21 Hayes
* 27 Bryant
* 31 Balboa
Transbay Terminal Construction
From 7 a.m., Saturday until 11 p.m. Sunday, construction at the Transbay Terminal will require the closure of Fremont Street between Mission and Howard streets.
The following Muni routes will be affected:
· 38/38L Geary
· 71 Haight-Noriega
· 76 Marin Headlands
Noe Valley Harvest Festival
On Saturday Noe Valley will hold the 6th annual Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
24th Street between Sanchez and Church streets will be closed for the festival from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The 48 Quintara-24th Street Muni route will be affected.
Treasure Island 5K/10K Run
On Sunday the All Star Dog and People 5K/10K Run will be held on Treasure Island.
The following street closures will be required from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
* California Avenue between Avenue D and Avenue N
* Avenue N between California Avenue and 13th Street
The 108 Treasure Island Muni route will be affected.
