JaneDoe10.19.10.jpgSan Francisco General Hospital is asking for the public’s help in identifying a female patient in critical condition.

The woman was found on the Embarcadero next to a wheelchair and admitted to the hospital Oct. 9.

She has not been able to tell the staff her name, and efforts to identify her have been unsuccessful, the hospital said.

The patient is a white woman in her 50s or 60s with gray hair, blue eyes and sunburned cheeks.

She is 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 93 pounds, the hospital said.

The woman has a large lump on her inner right elbow, which is not the cause of her current injury, the hospital said.

Anyone with information about her identity is asked to call hospital social worker Trevor Towne at (415) 206-5822.
