detox-vegetables.jpgOctober is Vegetarian Awareness Month, and I know what you might be thinking: do you seriously expect me to survive on pb&j or pasta for the next 30 days?

Oh, no, my dear friends, the delectable world of veggie cuisine is far more delicious then what your college roommate subsisted on. And while San Francisco might be a carnivore’s wet dream, there are still plenty of restaurants that offer superb dishes sans meat.

When I go out for vegetarian meals, I enjoy peach & molasses glazed tempeh, delicate seasonal bastilla with saffron sauce, or a chilled soba noodle salad with bok choy & daikon kimchi.

There is a guy selling vegetarian stuffed flaxseed cones, that are amazing. The name of the place is called RawDaddy’s. Pretty amazing stuff. U should check them out. I had heard that they were going to open a place in Palo Alto, but I guess they do mostly farmers markets and events these days.

@Godlike4u – I’m a total RawDaddy groupie and not ashamed to say it. I try to eat his gourmet raw vegan conefood wherever he sets up his farmer’s market booth. He has one in Palo Alto on Sundays, Santa Cruz on Wednesdays, and sometimes is at the Underground Market in SF or Oakland. Always a treat… and where else can you find delicious/nutritious/convenient?
