Thousands of residents lost power this afternoon in San Francisco’s Sunset District for reasons unknown to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
About 2,391 PG&E customers lost power in the Sunset District at 4:26 p.m. this afternoon, spokeswoman Jana Morris said. Their power was restored at about 6:30 p.m.
According to Appeal twitter follower, Hoodscope’s Gene Miguel, power was also lost in the Ingleside District during this period.
Morris said PG&E employees are unsure what caused the outage, but they are investigating the case.
No injuries were reported as a result of the outage.
