Police arrested a motorist after he ran from the scene of a crash near Chinatown this afternoon, a police spokeswoman said.
The crash, which involved two cars, happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Bush Street near Grant Avenue, police Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.
The driver of one of the cars tried to flee after the crash but was detained by passersby until police arrived a short time later and arrested him, Tomioka said.
The man’s name has not been released.
No injuries were reported.
