8:40 AM: A crash briefly blocked a major San Francisco intersection during this morning’s commute.
The accident was reported at 6:56 a.m. at Van Ness Avenue and Hayes Street, a fire dispatcher said.
An ambulance was called to the scene but the dispatcher did not have information on injuries.
The crash caused gridlock in the area, but as of 8:30 a.m. the intersection was clear.
