Shalako.09.29.10.jpgAccording to a release sent to media by the SFPD, a local tipster was instrumental in the arrest of a man accused of a sexual assault, robbery and beating that occurred in a San Francisco public housing development Tuesday.

Police say that Mission Station officers arrested Damir Shalako in Rolph Park at 26th Street and Hampshire at around 1:00pm today.

Shalako, a parolee from Santa Rosa, had been sought by police since Tuesday, when he reportedly assaulted a woman at the Potrero Hill Housing Authority Development.

In the press release, the SFPD says they “would like to thank the citizen who called our tip line and help us locate the suspect.”
