taxi.jpgIn order to accommodate numerous Giants fans, drivers at a local cab company are asking San Francisco officials to authorize a temporary cabstand near AT&T Park, the company announced today.

Luxor Cab drivers will be on hand all day today at Third and King streets to preview how convenient a new stand would be, especially for senior and disabled Giants fans.

The cab company is asking San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Executive Director Nat Ford to authorize a new stand at Third Street and Willie Mays Plaza.

Though there is a cab stand already in place at King and Second streets, Luxor Cab drivers don’t feel the stand will be sufficient to handle the crowds expected to attend games if the Giants continue to advance through the playoffs and make it to the World Series.
