money-dog.jpgThe San Francisco SPCA has launched a new website that specifies which parks and local open space areas are open to dogs on and off their leashes.

In an effort to preserve natural resources while at the same time ensuring that there are outdoor spaces for Bay Area dog owners to walk their pets, the SFSPCA and local dog-owner coalitions launched the website Eco-dog.org.

“Eco-Dog marks a wonderful opportunity for the Bay Area to prove that pets can enjoy public spaces without harming the integrity of natural resources,” Crissy Field Dog Group chairwoman Martha Walters said in a statement.

For more information about the website or other Eco-dog projects, visit www.eco-dog.org or call the SFSPCA at (415) 554-3029.
