A section of El Camino Real in Millbrae that was closed this evening due to a gas leak has been reopened, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said.
About one-third of a mile of the road was closed at 5:54 p.m. when a gas leak was reported at 151 El Camino Real, a sheriff’s dispatcher said.
The road was closed in both directions from East Millbrae Avenue north to La Cruz Avenue to both vehicles and pedestrians.
PG&E and fire officials were on scene assessing the situation at 6:55 p.m., the dispatcher said.
It’s unclear when the leak was contained, but everything was clear and the road was open by about 8 p.m.
PG&E officials did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
