police-light-bar1.jpgA car struck a pedestrian in what appears to have been a non-fatal incident this evening in San Francisco, a police spokesman said.

Police responded to a 5:25 p.m. report that a pedestrian had been struck on the 400 block of Portola Drive, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

Crews arrived on the scene at about 5:32 p.m. and took statements from witnesses, including a statement from the pedestrian who was struck, Andraychak said.

Eastbound lanes of traffic on Portola Drive were closed around the time of the incident but appear to have been reopened, he said.
