I can’t exactly tell you why the Germans decided 200 years ago to begin celebrating Oktoberfest in September, but I do know that we don’t really need an official reason to enjoy drinking German beer by the Bay.
If you really want to get into the spirit, wear some lederhosen while dancing to the 21 piece polka band with a stein in hand. The 11th Annual Oktoberfest by the Bay kicks off this Thursday with live music, traditional cuisine, Bavarian dancing, and, of course German beer.
