Friday, 8/27/10
7:30 am: In the Tenderloin, a suspect reportedly offered the victim a job. They drove to another location, and the suspect and victim exited the vehicle. The suspect then produced a weapon and demanded cash.
10:50 pm: Again in the Tenderloin, a suspect reportedly approached a victim and demanded property. The victim gave up his cell phone, and the suspect fled on foot.
Saturday, 8/28/10
1:05 am: A victim was reportedly approached by 2 armed suspects. Suspects took the victim’s wallet and phone, then fled.
1:50 am: In the Mission, two victims were walking to a restaurant. A suspect reportedly grabbed one of the victim’s cellphones from out of his hand, but the two victims chased him down. At that time,the second suspect takes the second victim’s purse. Both suspects fled on foot.
2:45 am: In Ingleside, a reported fight between two men ended with one victim being hit in the stomach with a blunt object, and a second victim (who was trying to break up the fight) being stabbed in the hand. The suspect fled the scene.
7:30 am: A victim’s bicycle was stolen from the hall entryway of her residence. She stated she did not hear or see the suspect., and there were no signs of forced entry.
7:46 am: Officer on park patrol duty noticed an unattended shopping cart. When he went to investigate, he reportedly noticed the victim on the ground. Victim was deceased. There was no suspect seen, and cause of death yet to be determined.
9:33 pm: 2 men were involved in an altercation, and one suspect reportedly stabbed the other with an unknown object and fled on foot. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
9:39 pm: Plain clothes officers approached a group of four subjects in the Bayview. As the officers approached, all suspects took off running. One of the unknown suspects, fired 1 shot at the officers and missed. An officer returned fire, missing the suspects.
11:00 pm: A victim was punched in the face and reportedly robbed by four suspects. The victim could not provide a description of the suspects. The victim believes he was struck with a weapon but could not provide details. The victim’s wallet was stolen.
Sunday, 8/29/10
1:47 am: A victim was reportedly robbed at knifepoint, then punched in the face. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet, and keys. All three suspects fled the scene.
4:11 am: In Bayview, Officers were called to a vehicle fire. SFFD responded and extinguished the fire. Neither victim knew know who set their vehicles on fire.
5:31 am: A male victim was sleeping in bed when he woke up smelling smoke. The male victim noticed that he was on fire and ran out of the room into hallway. The female victim apparently jumped out of the 8th story window of their apartment. She was later pronounced deceased. The male victim was transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries.
8:25 pm: In Ingleside, a victim was on a bus when he was approached by three suspects. One of the suspects told the victim to give up his wallet. The victim complied. The suspects exited the bus.
Monday, 8/30/10
3:02 am: A suspect reportedly set fire to a dumpster and miscellaneous trash, no structures were damaged.
