Happy Thursday!

We’re gearing up for Outside Lands this weekend in Golden Gate Park. Tons of people, tasty food and wine and best of all, live music in the park. Headliners this year include Kings of Leon, Al Green, Gogol Bordello… I’ll stop before you don’t recognize any more band names. 😉

If you’re attending, get all the important details before you go. And if you live close by, jot down the hotline number and who to call if your driveway is blocked (as if people do that in SF!).

In “neighbors come together and make things happen” news this week, we got word that a location has been chosen for the Richmond District’s first Farmer’s Market. Next up is choosing the vendors and scheduling the opening, which they hope will be in early 2011.

In retail news, a new boutique opened at 212 Clement yesterday called Seedstore. Dubbed a “modern-day mercantile shop”, the small store features men’s and women’s clothing, both new and vintage. Stop in to shop and be sure to say hi to owners (and sisters) Cynthia and Jennifer Huie.

Another storefront on Balboa, Amybelle’s Wash & Dry, is making a difference for job seekers. One of the owners, Amy Capule, offers free resume advice on Saturday mornings. She knows her stuff after years of recruiting for the corporate world. So if you’re looking for work and want to polish up your pitch (and maybe want to do a load of wash), stop in at Amybelle’s.

Have a great weekend everyone!
