Party on Block 18
On Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., the Party on Block 18 will be held on 18th Street between Guerrero and Dolores streets.
18th Street will be closed on that block from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The 33 Stanyan Muni route will be affected.
Tri-California Triathlon
On Sunday at 7 a.m. the Tri-California Triathlon will commence with a swim from Alcatraz to the St Francis Yacht Club. Participants will then bike into the Presidio, along the Great Highway, through Golden Gate Park, back to the Marina for a run to Baker Beach and back to the Marina Green for the finish. The bicycling section of the route will affect Muni service.
All streets along the course will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m.
The following Muni routes will be affected:
* 18 46th Avenue
* 23 Monterey
* 29 Sunset
* 38 Geary
Lantern Festival and Parade
The Lantern Festival and Parade will be held in Japantown on Sunday from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
The following street closures will be required:
* 10 a.m. to midnight: Post Street between Laguna and Webster streets
* 4 to 9 p.m.: Post Street between Octavia and Laguna streets
* 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Intersection of Laguna at Post
The intersection will be controlled to assist with traffic and with Muni access through the intersection.
The following Muni routes will be affected:
* 2 Clement
* 3 Jackson
