Scales & Gavel 1.jpgA San Francisco doctor convicted last year of sexually assaulting three female patients was sentenced Monday to more than 10 years in prison, according to the district attorney’s office.

Jose Rosas, 56, is originally from Peru and had a private practice in San Francisco serving primarily Spanish-speaking patients, according to prosecutors.

Rosas was arrested in June 2005 and convicted last May of sexually assaulting the three women during pelvic exams, prosecutors said.

The incidents took place in July 2002, March 2005 and May 2007, according to the district attorney’s office.

Judge Anne Bouliane sentenced Rosas to 10 years and eight months in prison, the district attorney’s office said.
