RogerLopez8_10_10.jpgPolice are asking the community for help locating an at-risk 74-year-old man who walked out of his San Francisco home last month and has been missing ever since.

Roger Lopez, who suffers from dementia and uses a walker, never returned home after he left his Mission District residence at approximately 10 a.m. on July 26, police said.

Lopez is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 145 pounds, with brown eyes, gray hair, a full gray beard, and noticeably short front teeth worn down from age.

Police said Lopez only speaks Spanish and frequents Mission Street in the areas of 18th and 30th streets and the South of Market District near 6th and Howard streets.

Although police have provided an image of Lopez, the picture is about seven years old.

Anyone with information about Lopez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Police Department’s confidential tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411.
