A 26-year-old man fell to his death from a San Francisco apartment rooftop early this morning in what police are calling a “tragic accident.”
The medical examiner’s office identified the man as Jordan Anderson, of San Francisco.
Police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said officers were notified of the incident in the 2100 block of Bush Street at about 2:40 a.m.
Anderson had been on the roof with a friend at the time and was reportedly intoxicated when he apparently stepped backward and fell off the roof and onto the street below, Esparza said.
Esparza said the death is being investigated by police but is not considered suspicious.
It “appears to have been a tragic accident,” he said.
