sffd_firefighters.jpgSan Francisco firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire in a downtown high-rise apartment building this afternoon.

Units responded to reports of smoke in the 7-story building at 965 Sutter St. just after 1 p.m., a dispatcher with the San Francisco Fire Department said.

The fire was contained to a single unit on the fourth floor, the dispatcher said, and no one was injured in the emergency.

The fire was reported to be under control at 1:16 p.m.
