Firefighters have controlled a fire that started at a two-story residence in San Francisco today, a fire spokeswoman said.

The two-alarm fire was reported just before noon in the 1800 block of Alemany Boulevard, said fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge. The fire was on the first floor of the two-story building, she said.
Firefighters controlled the blaze at 12:37 p.m., Talmadge said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
