Greetings from the Richmond,

For those of you Born in the USA, or at least Born to Run, you might want to get over to the Balboa Theater tonight for a special screening of Bruce Springsteen’s concert movie “London Calling” from his 2009 concert at Hyde Park. Proceeds benefit the The Danny Fund/Melanoma Research Alliance, a charity set up after longtime Springsteen friend Danny Federici passed away in 2008.

If you prefer a little more fang with your rock, don’t miss fun events for kids this summer. Today at 2pm is Boswick the Clown, a veteran of the Ringling Brothers circus. On Monday, the Bubble Lady (cousin of the Balloon Lady?) rolls into the neighborhood for some bubbilicious adventures.

In development news, it looks like the long-vacant, giant property at 32nd and Clement will soon become a the second CVS Pharmacy in San Francisco. There’s a meeting about it next week. While the neighborhood was hoping for a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, a CVS is better than cyclone fencing any day of the week.

On the traffic tip, the Park Presidio / Highway 1 approach to the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed from Friday at 10pm until 11am on Saturday. So if you’re planning to head north through our neighborhood, better find an alternate route.

Have a great weekend everyone!
