booze.jpgEvery driver on the planet should know this by now but don’t drink and drive and don’t drive without your license. If you’d like an even bigger incentive and reason as to why driving drunk and without a license don’t mix, the SFPD is providing one on Saturday, June 5th.

Starting at 8:30pm at a to-be-announced location (the announcement comes just two hours before the checkpoint opens), police will be checking for a driver’s sobriety and the status of their driver’s license.

Just in case you’re really worried about passing this big test, Sgt. Neil Swendsen provides a review of what officers will be looking for. He says, “We check to see that the driver can turn off the car and get out easily, hand us the license and registration without fumbling, stand solidly without swaying or leaning on the car for support, speak clearly, respond to questions quickly and provide correct information.” Good luck!
