A one-alarm apartment fire in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood early this morning displaced four people, a fire spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported at 6:25 a.m. at 2160 Taylor St.
Firefighters controlled the blaze in about 20 minutes, San Francisco Fire Department spokeswoman Lt. Mindy Talmadge said.
Five people were evaluated for injuries at the scene but all declined transport to a hospital, she said.
Two units were damaged and the Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents, she said.
